PA Spotlight: Berta Belich

Where are you from/where did you attend PA school?

I was born and raised in Fargo, ND. I received my bachelor’s degree from Augustana University and graduated with my masters in Physician Assistant studies from Midwestern University. I am passionate about living life to the fullest.

What is your PA practice experience?

I enjoy rural medicine and continuing to learn and grow with my patients and engaging in my community. I have worked as a PA for 12 years in family medicine, internal medicine, and urgent care settings.

When did you come to New Zealand and what brought you here?

My husband, 2 young daughters, dog and I moved to New Zealand to start a new life adventure in December 2022.

Where are you currently practicing?

I am working in a General Practice clinic in rural Stratford, NZ and have been pleasantly surprised by the experience. I am enjoying having some work life balance again and taking care of the amiable, grateful patients in New Zealand.

What are your hobbies/interests/etc.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring with my family and being as active as I can be within the limitations of having young children.
